Meeting Life with Full Power in 2024

Dear Friend,

As the new year dawns, many of us feel it’s time to pause and rest; we have a sense of renewal and rejuvenation mixed with trepidation. 2023 brought global tumult mixed with glimmers of hope.

What will the months of 2024 hold?

Rather than passively watching events unfold, make commentary and express outrage, I believe this is a time for unity and bold co-creation. We face the most wicked of challenges, from media designed to confuse us, food designed to dull our senses, from deepening inequality to a changing climate where Mother Nature in her immaculate conception is gasping for our help.

But despair can’t be the answer.

Collective Solutions for a Shared Future

The problems before us are too complex for any one group to solve alone. We need a diversity of voices at the table. Now is the time to bridge divides through open dialogue and shared purpose.

Dialogue isn’t enough.

We’re talking, we’re screaming in our echo chambers and we’re howling protests by resharing posts, marching down streets and further calling on our echo chamber co-residents to march with us.

We have to create the new, not scream at the old.

Together, we can reimagine systems that serve all people, not just the privileged few. We can rethink our relationship to the planet that sustains us. But this requires a mindset shift from separation to interconnectedness.

Your voice and actions matter more than you know. Small acts of compassion ripple out in unseen ways. And when enough of us unite behind a common vision, change becomes unstoppable.

Tapping Into Our Full Potential

To navigate the obstacles ahead, we have no choice but to delve deeper — into our shadows, into our hearts, into our highest potential. Great challenges call for even greater courage to meet them.

I believe that within each of us lies the seeds of the solutions we seek. We’re not helpless cogs in broken systems. We are fractals of the Divine, imbued with gifts to share.

But first we have to dismantle the restrictive stories that dim our light. We must reclaim the wholeness and sovereignty that is our birthright. We must radically accept and love every facet of our complex humanity.

When we embrace our full selves — shadows and all — we regain the power to rewrite limiting scripts about what's possible. Our suppressed gifts emerge in service to the greater good.

We remember our true nature as co-creators here to spread more light.

Technology to Improve All Life

As creators, we can harness innovation to solve pressing human and ecological problems. But we must consider the unintended fruits borne by our designs.

I believe technology should uplift all people, not just an elite few. It should enrich, not isolate us. It should regenerate our ailing planet, not help corporations profit from destruction.

My life's work is dedicated to this vision — using technology and design to improve ALL life and elevate the totality of human experience. From education to health and wellness, how might we innovate mindfully, guided by conscience and care?

How might we seed ripples of positive change through even simple apps and algorithms?

Every act of creation carries a responsibility far beyond what we can foresee. But I have faith in our collective potential to build tools that spread more justice, connection and healing. Tiny pebbles of intention send waves through destiny's waters.

Use Your Gifts to Make an Impact

Your life is imbued with meaning when you use your talents to make a difference. What unique skills do you possess? What breaks your heart to see in this world, and in yourself? What fills you with restless fury or creative passion?

Your dharma exists at the intersection of your desires and the world's needs. Discover it by listening to your soul's whispers and paying attention to what makes you come alive. Your life's work goes beyond any job title.

The Invitation

Friend, I believe we were made for these times. Our world needs the full measure of your compassion, creativity and courage.

In 2024, how will you shine your gifts into the darkness? How will you rewrite limiting scripts holding you back? How will you advocate for those silenced and oppressed?

This is our time to lead humanity's evolution, fuelled by love not fear.

Our future is written by daily choices rooted in wisdom and care.

We need your voice. We need your light.

Have faith in your power to change lives. Collaboration with others driven by empathy and justice. Dream boldly of the world we wish to see. Then let's get to work.

The days ahead will surely bring struggle and sorrow. But there will also be joy found in community, meaning woven into purposeful action, and glimpses of a future where all can thrive.

We walk this road together, my friend.

You’re not alone. We’re not alone.

And within us lies everything required to build the more beautiful world awaiting.
